SUB-COMMITTEE REPORTS

EXECUTIVE:

Money spending is well under way. Annual general meeting is on May 13th at the Fairfield Hotel. Executive committee positions are changing and no one has signed up to volunteer for these positions. Would the persons currently in these positions be willing to help with the change over of new members.. if any? Treasurer Gayle Cole will be willing to spend one more year in her position. Let committee know if you are interested in a position, or is everyone satisfied with the committee we have.

It was noted that sub-committees play a very important part and need to stay strong in order to keep the executive committee going.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Meeting is being held on Thursday March 12. Someone should be designated to come to the meeting to give reports. Let Roxanne Lamothe know if you are interested in volunteering for this committee.

PROJECT COMMITTEE:

QCCAV web site is being built and well under way. Susan, Heather, Diane and Cat attended the March 9th training for this site and went very well. Work to be completed by the end of the month and ready for input. We now have a contract with them from 2009-2014, OSM Domain 2009-2014 ?05-01, Name Reg for .com 2009-2014 01-26 and .ca is 2009-2014 02-05 and the site apex is 2009-2014 05-01. Note was made that it is very important to have this renewed on time. We need your information for data input for this site. Committees to go through your documents and think about what you would like to see on the site and send them to Diane.

NFF Project- North Hastings ? no update but well under way in modifying projects.

CHILDRENS AND YOUTH COMMITTEE:

This is not an active committee and is to be terminated. It is understood that violence against a child is too generalized. What the committee needs is one or two persons trained and familiar with the system representing children and youth from the QCCAV, to form a liaison between the committee and the children services groups. Their duty would be to come back and report to the steering committee. Volunteers are needed to do this. This committee will be finished after the May 13th AGM meeting. Susan to send e-mail to the children and youth committee stating this and asking for volunteers to be the liaison.

PROTOCOL COMMITTEE:

SEPTED ? Explained and discussed. Volunteers needed for training. Police officers find this project very time consuming in order for it to be completed. Some money from protocol committee dollars to be spent on the project. Update will be given at next meeting.

North Hasting has meeting on March 13th in Bancroft. Information to follow.

Prince Edward no report.

Center and South Hastings no report.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE;

Meeting was held on February 24th 2009. AGM meeting was discussed.

A suggestion that members interested in going to the AGM luncheon on May 13th at the Fairfield Hotel should sign up today. Heather will send invitations via e-mail to members not in attendance. Reply by March 23rd as we need to know how many people are attending so we can pay by March 31st. Committee has funding to submit for this meeting. Advertising for the meeting to invite the general public was discussed. Susan noted that paid advertising is very expensive. Roxanne added that putting flyers up around town would cut that cost. There will be a meeting on March 24th to discuss this further.

Next AGM meeting is May 13th at the Fairfield Hotel.
